So, this week I am going to recommend two amazing Jasper/Bella one-shots that I think need your attention. Because I’m a Jasperella whore.
First up we have the newest of the two
Now I adored this story. It’s cute and sweet and sexy and amazing. Jasper and Bella are neighbours and best friends, caught in an unusual heat-wave in Seattle. Each has harboured feelings for the other for years, neither wanting to ruin their friendship by making the first move. But an spontaneous kiss changes everything, bringing the couple together and sparking some seriously sexy times.
"Tell me that didn't mean anything," he whispered, wanting nothing but to kiss her again.
"I think it meant something different to you than what it did to me," she said, her eyes wavering from his slightly.
Jasper stepped away from her as if she'd burnt him. "Oh," he said, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry; I shouldn't have kissed you back, then."
Tears rose in Bella's eyes, but she quickly blinked them away. "No," she said, struggling to keep her composure. "You probably shouldn't have. It kind of gives a girl the wrong impression."
So go, read and review. I command thee!
Second up we have one of my favourite one-shots.
Another story that starts with Jasper and Bella being best friends. I know, that seems to be my favourite kind of fic. What can I say? I relate to them. Bella and Jasper met in junior high. Bella knows what it’s like to be the new student, having moved there a year previous, and offers the new student, Jasper a reprieve from the Aussie jokes that the rest of their classmates have been foisting on him since his enrolment. The two bond over granola bars and bad dye-jobs. Ten years later Bella works for Jasper in his beachside café joint, The Buzz. She’s been having some not-so-innocent thoughts about her BFF. After blowing off an unwanted admirer by telling him that Jasper is her boyfriend, and would kick his ass, Jasper takes Bella to the beach, and the two discuss why Bella had used Jasper as an excuse not to go out with the guy. Believe me when I say that what follows is sexy and delightful.
To my surprise, Jasper's forehead creased, his eyes wrinkling in the corners. "You think you've missed out on falling in love because of me?" he asked, his voice hoarse.
My eyes widened. "No! I just—"
"Bella, I'm so sorry. I didn't know you felt that way. Why didn't you tell me?"
Without thinking, I reached out and took his face in my hands, rising up on my knees. I smoothed away the lines next to his eyes with my thumbs, smiling down at him. "Because it didn't matter, Jazz. I always knew I was better off spending time with you than anyone else."
And in keeping with the theme of the night, I didn't spare my decision a second thought before I tilted my head down and pushed my lips against his.
