So. As we all know, for us Americans today is a rather symbolic day in our history. Exactly nine years ago, suicide-boomers hijacked four commercial airplanes. Two crashed into the World Trade Center, another into the pentagon, and one into a field near Shanksville.
2,996 civilians lost their lives. 19 hijackers did as well. In total, over three-thousand people were killed in the terrorist attack.
Now, I know you may not be religious, or even from America, but readers I ask this of you. Please bow your head for a moment of silence, and pray for all of those who were affected by the attack; lost their life, family's left without a parent, brother, sister, mother, daughter, son, grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, etc., diseases from the dust, and the pain others felt from other states watching this happen.
I ask that we hold a moment of silence, doesn't have to be right this second, but some time today, take time our of your busy schedules to pray for the people of the US.
I will never forget the pain and suffer people of my nation, and other nations, went through when the terrorists decided to do what they did.
God Bless those who fought for the US, and may those who lost their lives during the destruction rest in peace.
I didn't lose anyone close to me & I don't know anyone personally affect in this tragedy but it still felt like my heart was torn open when this happened. Thank you for sharing your heart & posting this.
