The Volturi, more specifically Caius and Athenedora, that's what today's rec is all about.
In 'Rise to Power: the Creation of Caius' from Bforqueen, Athenodora is a cunning woman with a hunger for power. She has been an admired advisor for many of the Roman emperors, but the sexual orientation of the last has left her unable to reclaim her usual position.
She silently watches Caius and recognizes his hunger for power, his need for female companionship and his fierce character. In him, she sees her future. He isn't aware of her masterplan, but Caius can't resist her charms. Athenodora is an experienced seductress and he is a man who craves for female attention. She turns him by biting him in a very interesting place and tries to guide him.
What will happen when his bloodthirst and wild ways are brought to the attention of the Volturi?
This fic was brilliantly done. It's well-written, has a great build-up and has left me craving for more Volturi-stories. It is not what I imagined about Caius' life, but has a very realistic feel to it, because of the way it is written. The eye for detail in this fic is magnificent. Bforqueen, you did an excellent job on this story and I can't wait to hear more from you.
